Microsoft will officially end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025, leaving devices without critical security updates unless users take action.

To keep Windows 10 secure, Microsoft now offers three ways to join its Extended Security Updates (ESU) program: two free options and one paid at $30.

Free enrollment is available by either redeeming Microsoft Rewards points or syncing your Windows Backup to OneDrive, though storage limits may apply.

Users who miss the October 14 deadline can still enroll later, but their PCs will remain unprotected until they do, and coverage currently only extends through October 13, 2026.
